This program integrates four core development directions, laying a solid foundation for the University’s future and preparing for the upcoming challenges of a declining birth rate.
The Recruiting for Excellence Program will attract outstanding students from across Taiwan, not only enhancing the University’s overall competitiveness but also ensuring stable student numbers and talent pool amidst the challenges of a declining birth rate, thereby consolidating Soochow University's leading position in the education market.
The Enhancing University's International Competitiveness Program will actively recruit international students, strengthen guidance across all stages of their study, promote campus internationalization, and further improve the University’s international ranking and competitiveness.
The Smart Learning Space Construction Program will focus on improving teaching facilities and providing a modern learning environment, enabling students to unleash their potential in a high-quality setting, and have a campus where teachers and students can grow together.
The Soochow University Internationalization and Chinese Language Centre On-Campus Dormitory Bedding Expansion Program will further cater to the Chinese language learning needs of students from all over the world, allowing international students to fully immerse themselves in their studies, foster interaction with local students, and broaden cultural exchange and global perspectives.
The four major plans are interconnected and complement one another, which not only comprehensively enhance Soochow University's educational quality, scientific research strength and international visibility, but also make advance arrangements to cope with the impact of the declining birth rate in 2028, ensuring that Soochow University can still maintain its leading position in tertiary education and cultivate more talents with integrity and innovation for the future of the Taiwanese society and the world.
