SCU Mentorship Program

The Soochow Mentorship Program consists of two main components: the "Soochow Mentorship Program" and the "Soochow Lecture Program."

• Soochow Mentorship Program. Operating through the role of alumni mentors, this program constructs a learning experience that goes beyond traditional classroom professionalism. By engaging in deep, small-group interactions, students can learn firsthand from their mentors' personal character, mindset, and strategic vision.
• Soochow Lecture Program. This initiative invites distinguished alumni to serve as guest lecturers. Through general education credit courses, it establishes a co-learning platform connecting alumni with students. By sharing the hard-earned experiences, humanitarian care, and visionary insights of distinguished alumni and other successful figures, the program aims to establish role models for lifelong career learning.

【Soochow Mentorship Program】

• Program Period: Sep. 2026 – Jan. 2027
• Eligibility: Current undergraduate students (3rd year and above) and graduate students (Master’s and Ph.D. programs) of the 2025 Academic Year.
  
• Application Process:
  1. Phase 1 (Registration): Open from now until Friday, June 12, 2026.
  2. Phase 2 (Learning Plan Submission): Open from now until Friday, June 22, 2026.
• Program Highlights:
  1.  Free of Charge: Free for all current Soochow University students.
  2. Student-Selected Mentors: Students choose their own mentors. Each mentor guides a small group of 3 to 7 students, fostering teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
  3. Bilingual Groups Available: Bilingual cohorts are offered to help students enhance their foreign language proficiency.
  4. Flexible Scheduling: Meeting times are flexible and decided collaboratively by each group and their mentor.
  5. Diverse Activities: A wide variety of activities expands students' horizons and opens their eyes to a broader world.
  6. Pre-Graduation Mentorship: Connects students with industry-experienced alumni mentors for guidance and career consultation before graduation.
