The Department of Japanese Language and Culture has been working closely for a long time with various universities in Japan to promote the following interactive events:

  1. Short-term Overseas Programs: Students of the Department of Japanese Language and Culture can apply for the Short-term Overseas Program to Aichi University (愛知大學), Seinan Gakuin University (西南學院大學), Gakushuin University (學習院大學), Meiji Gakuin University (明治學院大學), Miyazaki University (宮崎大學), Daito Bunka University (大東文化大學), Niigata University (新潟大學), Takushoku University (拓殖大學), Chuo University (中央大學), Nagoya University (名古屋大學), Doshisha University (同志社大學), Meikai University (明海大學), Kwansei Gakuin University (關西學院大學), and Tohoku University (東北大學).
  2. Summer Camps: Students of the Department of Japanese Language and Culture can apply for the Japanese Culture Summer Camp held by Takushoku University (拓殖大學).
  3. Internships: The Department of Japanese Language and Culture has partnered with Gakushuin University (學習院大學) and Miyazaki University (宮崎大學) to provide Japanese teacher trainings. Through these internships, students are able to interact closely with Japanese students. Current students also have the opportunity to be selected as receptionists to assist Japanese students during their visits.
  4. Chinese Courses: The Department of Japanese Language and Culture has partnered with Takushoku University (拓殖大學), Meikai University (明海大學) and Takachiho University (高千穗大學) to organize Chinese learning programs. Current students also have the opportunity to be selected as receptionists to assist Japanese students during their visits and to promote language and cultural exchange.
  5. Short-term Cultural Exchange: Students are able to have a one-on-one cultural exchange experience (two to three hours each session) with visiting Japanese high school and university students, as well as an opportunity to introduce Taipei city to them.
  6. Tour Guide Internships: In order to promote interaction and enhance students’ language skills and work experience, the Department of Japanese Language and Culture will occasionally recruit receptionists to receive Japanese students.
  7. Short-term Overseas Research Programs: The Department of Japanese Language and Culture has student-exchange agreements with Meikai University (日本明海大學), Takushoku University (拓殖大學), Doshisha Women’s College of Liberal Arts (同志社女子大學), and Doshisha University (同志社大學). Our students can apply for a six-month or one-year exchange program to these universities.
