If you are interested in the global supply chain's sustainable transformation and how Taiwanese businesses can keep up with sustainability trends, this is the forum you absolutely cannot miss this year!

International trade is the lifeblood of Taiwan’s economy, and Taiwanese investments span across the globe. However, the impact of businesses on human rights, the environment, and climate has become an increasingly important issue that demands attention.

With the European Union's official adoption of the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) this year, a new wave of supply chain reforms is sweeping the globe. In the future, if Taiwanese companies fail to keep up with these changes, effectively protect human rights and the environment, and implement transparency and communication, they may soon face the pressure of being phased out by the market.

The Taiwan Corporate Watch (TTNC Watch), a coalition of seven Taiwanese non-profit organizations focused on human rights, environmental, and labor issues, is taking its first step overseas this year. They will investigate Taiwanese investments in Indonesia, bringing back firsthand reports on human rights and environmental impacts. We have also invited researchers, advocates, community residents, and labor representatives from Indonesian NGOs to provide the most authentic observations and expose human rights and environmental issues in Taiwanese overseas investments.

At this forum, we will also present Taiwan's first civil draft of the "Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Act" and hold in-depth discussions and analyses on Taiwan’s Corporate and Human Rights National Action Plan with leading scholars, experts, and civil society organizations in the field.

If you haven’t heard of corporate sustainability due diligence, want to understand the problems with Taiwanese investments overseas, and are curious about how businesses should transform, this is an opportunity you cannot afford to miss.
