The Department periodically holds a conference entitled: "Conference on Interdisciplinary and Multifunctional Business Management.” For many years, the conference has attracted enthusiastic participation of academic and business fields in the country, accumulating rather abundant records. Its topics mainly emphasize the idea that business administration is an interdisciplinary field, so discussions focus on issues of multifunction of business administration. The conference has established a high reputation through its review process, article quality, and stress on the topic of the business field.

  The Department also holds or assists to hold non-scheduled international academic exchange conferences. For example, in September, 2011 the Department took charge of the commissioned program from APEC Transportation Working Group to conduct the "The Last Mile of Supply Chain: Third Party Logistics Forum & Visit.” In 2012, the Supply Chain and Logistics Management Research Lab of the Department was entrusted by the Air Transport Research Society to conduct a Global Air Transport Forum. In 2013, the Department assisted to run an International Conference on the Challenges and Responses of Ports in a Globalised Economy, and the Asian Logistics Round Table (ALRT) conference. In 2014, the Department worked with Jungseok Research Institute of International Logistics and Trade in INHA University (Korea) to hold "2014 Research Workshop on Interdisciplinary Academic Cooperation between Inha University and Soochow University.”

  Many instructors of the Department have been to overseas colleges as visiting scholars for lectures, visits, speeches, and exchanges, including Shandong University, The Central University of Finance and Economics, Nankai University, Harbin Institute of Technology, MBA School of Management in Harbin Institute of Technology, IOWA State University (USA), Purdue University(USA), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Zhejiang University, Högskolan i Jönköping (The Kingdom of Sweden), FuzShou University, INHA University (Korea), SooChow University, . . . etc.

  In order to expand the academic development of the Department and to be geared to international standards, the Department has signed Memorandum of Understanding with Jungseok Research Institute of International Logistics and Trade in INHA University (Korea) on January 7th, 2014. In the future, the Department will also continue to participate actively in international academic cooperation, deepening exchanges with foreign colleges, and promoting academic research energy.

  Moreover, students of the Department largely visit foreign universities as exchange students. These schools include ChongQing University, Fudan University, University of Groningen (Holland), Copenhagen Business School (Denark), Högskolan i Jönköping (The Kingdom of Sweden), Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Germany), Bond University (Australia), University of Miyazaki (Japan), Chuo University (Japan), Aichi University (Japan), Tohoku University (Japan), Université Lille Nord de France (France), Woosong University (Korea), Thunderbird School of Global Management (USA), Niigata University (Japan), and so on. Group E of the graduate class is an all-English international business administration program. This program requires all graduates to go abroad as exchange students for at least one semester, including Thunderbird School of Global Management (United States), IESEG School of Management (Université Catholique de Lille, (France), Tohoku University (Japan), Niigata University (Japan), Woosong University (South Korea), and so forth. In addition, the Department is also visited by oversea exchange students, including those from The Central University of Finance and Economics, Nanjing University, Jilin University, Renmin University of China, Xiamen University, Tianjin University, SooChow University, Lanzhou University, Harbin Institute of Technology, National Sun Yat-sen University, and so on. These fruitful oversea exchange experiences are great opportunities for students to broaden their study field and global vision.
