As the tides of digital transformation and artificial intelligence sweep rapidly across the globe, data has become the core driving force behind social and industrial innovation. Since its inception, the School of Big Data Management at Soochow University has embraced the mission of "cultivating future-ready talent equipped with data science literacy and interdisciplinary integration capabilities." We are dedicated to nurturing data professionals who possess hands-on skills, innovative mindsets, and a strong sense of social responsibility.
Our School houses the Department of Data Science, featuring a curriculum that seamlessly bridges theory and practice. Covering cutting-edge topics such as data analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, business intelligence, and interactive multimedia technologies, we place great emphasis on students' interdisciplinary integration and real-world application skills. To foster versatile competitiveness and expand students' academic and career pathways, we have specifically designed interdisciplinary elective modules that combine humanities, business, statistics, marketing, and psychology, encouraging students to develop secondary areas of expertise.
To align with industry trends and meet students' practical learning needs, the School established the Smart Innovation AI Learning Center (NVIDIA Classroom). In collaboration with industry leaders like NVIDIA, we integrate state-of-the-art AI technologies and educational resources. Through capstone projects, industry mentorship, and corporate internship programs, our students validate their knowledge in real-world scenarios, developing highly practical expertise that bridges academic learning directly with industry standards.
