Eligibility: Students admitted to Soochow University as their first-choice university with a high score on the College Entrance Exam.

Students who have been admitted through the University’s examination system with a high score.

Students must have earned minimum number of credits in the previous semester.

Students’ academic performance should be among the top ten percent of their class.

Students must pass all credit courses.

Current students of the Department of English Language and Literature

Students with a minimum  grade of 85 in all classes taken and  a conduct grade of at least 80 in the previous semester.

Students must obtain a minimum grade of 85 for all courses taken in the Department of English Language and Literature.

Students may not have dropped credit courses dropped and must pass all courses.

Students must not have received any outside scholarships for the same period.

Applications  must be submitted three weeks prior to the beginning of each semester.

Graduate alumni Mr. Chieng Long Lin (Class of 74) donated 30,000NTD on 1st of May in 2010 to create the “Mr. Tze Chin Lai Alumni Scholarship for Students with Financial Needs.

Eligibility:

Current students of the Department of English Language and Literature

Students must have passed all courses in the previous semester.

Students must meet deemed in need of financial assistance

Open to all students (School of Continuing Education included)

Students hospitalized for more than 7 days or victims of accidental death.

Students who have been abused, abandoned or forced to engage in illegal activities.

Students whose parents have special needs and are not able to provide for family members’ financial well being.

Educators and students who have special needs, are living below the poverty line or have been severely injured in accidents and whose applications have been approved by the Ministry of Education,
